A robber — who was caught by US Marshals in Northern Maryland in July 2023 — has died in prison while serving time for raping a child, the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections announced on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2024.
Anthony James Raimo, 35 at the time of his arrest, of the 700 block of Harrisburg Pike, Dillsburg, was arrested on July 7, 2023, by the U.S. Marshals Service and the Washington County, MD Sheriff's Office, as Daily Voice previously reported.

Trooper Shoots Man Dead During Standoff At Trailer Park: PA State Police
A Pennsylvania state trooper shot a man dead during a standoff at a mobile home park on Saturday, Sept. 7 in Lycoming County, authorities said.
The officer-involved shooting remains under investigation pending an autopsy on Monday, Sept. 9, they said.
At about 2:50 p.m. Saturday, Pennsylvania State Police at Montoursville was dispatched to a disturbance at 152 Boak Ave., Lot 49, in Wolf Township.

A city commissioner in Delaware County was arrested Tuesday and charged with raping a victim in Philadelphia four years ago, authorities announced.
Darby Township Commissioner Marvin Smith was identified after the male victim told Philadelphia police on April 15, 2019, that he was sexually assaulted by Smith on August 12, 2017, Philadelphia police said.
