Melvin Kling, 99, Decorated WWII Vet, Penn State Fan From Pennsauken Went To Hundreds Of Games
Melvin E. Kling, formerly of Pennsauken, New Jersey and the Harrisburg area in Pennsylvania, died on Christmas, a month shy of his 100th birthday, according to an obituary by the Alloway Funeral Home.
He was a highly-decorated veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army in Europe as well as the Korean War, where he was a commanding officer of a 101st Airborne company.
He was a huge fan of the Penn State Nittany Lions. Mel had estimated he traveled to 200 to 300 Penn State football games, both home and away, his obituary said.

Heroin, Crack Cocaine Seized From MD, PA Drug Dealers In Routine Stop: State Police
A pair of drug dealers — one of whom was wanted on multiple warrants — were found with heroin and crack cocaine during a midnight traffic stop, Maryland State Police said.
Clint Christopher Whaul, 39, of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and Leanna Lyn Baker, 32, of Dundalk, Maryland, were stopped on Interstate 97 in Millersville around 12:10 Wednesday, March 2, police said.
A search of the Toyota turned up 11.2 grams of heroin, 41.8 grams of crack cocaine, 48 Xanax pills, additional drug paraphernalia and money.
Baker had four outstanding arrest warrants for drug charges, police said.

Joseph Truhon, 45, of Highland Falls, New York was arrested in connection to an attempted assault at Spring Hill Suites Marriott in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on June 19, according to Pennsylvania State police.
Truhon is accused of harassing and attempting to assault a fellow traveling youth soccer coach and Adjunct Professor of Psychology at Wagner University, Nicole Gaudenzi, 27, of Little Falls, New Jersey, say police.
