2 Killed In Chester City New Year's Eve Shooting, Police Say
Two people were killed in a shooting on New Year's Eve in Chester, authorities said. Officers were initially called around 6:55 p.m. to West 6th Street and Parker Street on a report of a shooting, where they found a man shot dead inside a white sedan, Chester City police said in a Monday news release. The victim was identified as Amaige Merritt, according to police. Police also discovered a second shooting victim at the intersection of West 7th Street and Parker Street, they said. 1 Dead, 2 Hurt In Weekend Chester Shootings
One man was killed and two others were injured in two separate shootings in Chester on Sunday night, authorities said. Officers arrived at the 800 block of East 8th Street around 10:30 p.m. for a report of a dead man in a vehicle, according to the City of Chester Police Department. Police found the man sitting in the driver's seat of a newer model Hyundai parked in front of 815 East 8th Street with two gunshot wounds, including one to his head, authorities said. Authorities ID Victims In Chester City Double Shooting
Police in Delaware County have identified the victims in a double shooting that killed one and injured another in Chester Monday night. Arriving officers found 19-year-old Rashad Coleman, in the middle of the street, alert and conscious, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, along the 2000 block of West 4th Street around 9 p.m, according to the City of Chester Police Department. Coleman was sent to Crozer Chester Medical Center where he is listed in serious condition, police said.
