PA Police Officer, HS Coach, Arty Erle Dies From Illness A police officer, high school baseball and wrestling coach, middle school baseball and volleyball coach, as well as the founding member of a non-profit, has died.  Arthur R. “Arty” Erle, 52, of Springfield formerly of Glenolden passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2024, according to his obituary posted by Lombardo Funeral Homes.  The Drexel Hill native graduated from Interboro High School in 1990, and a 1998 graduate of the Philadelphia Police Academy who went on to serve as a Corrections Officer at Delaware County Prison, and as a Police Officer for Upper Darby Township for the past…

Woman Stabbed, Child Attacked In Delco Home: Authorities A suspect is in custody after two people were stabbed in a Wayne home early Sunday morning, Feb. 25, according to Radnor police.  Authorities said it happened in a house on the 200 block of Willow Avenue around 2 a.m. Police arrived to find a woman suffering from multiple stab wounds and a "juvenile" girl who was also hurt while intervening, officials said in a release.  Both were taken to Paoli Hospital where the woman underwent surgery and the girl was treated then released.  The victims named their attacker as 40-year-old Charles C. Officers responded to the store on the 300 block of West Baltimore Pike around 1 p.m. on a report of an armed robbery, Clifton Heights Borough police said.
