Man Arrested Following Multi-Hour Standoff In South Whitehall: Police
A man is in police custody following a standoff that lasted several hours in a Target parking in South Whitehall, according to township police. Authorities said officers were dispatched to the Crest Plaza parking lot on North Cedar Crest Boulevard around 7 p.m. on Sunday, Nov., 27 for a report of a suicidal man refusing to get out of his vehicle. 'Person In Crisis' Rescued From Ledge Of 8th Street Bridge: Allentown Police
Police in Lehigh County rescued a man apparently standing on the outer ledge of an Allentown bridge Thursday morning, authorities said. With help from Allentown police crisis negotiators, officers were able to convince the "person in crisis" to come back over the ledge of the 8th Street Bridge around 11:30 a.m., police said. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment, police said. No further information was immediately available.

PD: SWAT Standoff Ends In Arrest Of Berks County Man Who Allegedly Threatened Wife With Gun
A 36-year-old man was in custody Friday morning after a nearly 5-hour standoff with police in Berks County that began Thursday night, authorities said. Sean M. Butler Jr. had allegedly assaulted and threatened his wife with a firearm inside a home on the 2200 block of Spring Street in Spring Township around 10 p.m, according to Deputy Chief of the Spring Police Department, Stephen Powell.
