Nursing Student Killed By Temple Student In Philadelphia, Police Say
A 20-year-old Temple University student was killed in a Philadelphia apartment near campus over the weekend, according to officials. City police said they were called to the 1400 block of Willington Street around 4 a.m. Saturday, June 22. They arrived to find 20-year-old Milan Jones dead from "apparent blunt force trauma." Temple Students Robbed At Gunpoint Steps From Campus, Authorities Say
Two students were robbed at gunpoint just steps away from the Temple University campus before sunrise on Tuesday, Oct. 31, according to authorities. The stick-ups happened near the corner of North 16th Street and Berks streets around 6 a.m., PPD said. The first victim, 21, was robbed of his phone but later found it nearby using a tracking app, said police. A York College Freshman who was found unresponsive died on Thursday, Nov. 17, authorities say. Ryan Heflin, of Norristown, was found in his residence hall Thursday afternoon and later pronounced dead, according to Richard Satterlee, dean of student development and campus life. A 9-year-old boy mortally wounded an 11-year-old boy during a fight over a Nerf Gun, according to a release by Pennsylvania state police. The fight happened while the two boys were playing with the Nerf gun at a home in Randall Road in Ridgebury Township, Bradford County on Saturday around 10:30 p.m., according to the release.
