38-Year-Old Man Shot, Killed In Coatesville: DA
Police are looking for two suspects in connection with a deadly shooting in Coatvesille Friday, June 10. A 38-year-old man was shot and killed after a dispute with two suspects, one of whom was armed, and told the victim "I’m strapped," Chester County DA Deb Ryan said. Officers were called to 5th Avenue and East Lincoln Highway, where the victim was found with a gunshot wound to the hip just before 9:10 p.m., the DA said. Suspicious Death Of Woman Probed In Coatesville
Authorities were investigating a "suspicious death" Tuesday, Feb. 15 in Coatesville. Donna L. Taney, 59, was found dead on the floor of a bedroom in her East Chestnut Street home around 9:45 a.m., Coatesville police said. A search warrant was executed at the house, and investigators are awaiting the results of an autopsy report. The death, according to police, was an isolated incident with no threat to the community. Coatesville Man Who Lured Children With Candy Convicted Of Sexual Assault, DA Says
A Coatesville man who lured children with candy was convicted of sexually abusing them, authorities said. A jury found Marshone Steele, 31, guilty of sexually abusing two children under age 10 at his mother’s house between 2014 and 2019, according to the Chester County District Attorney's Office. Investigators learned in October 2019 that a nine-year-old child had been sexually abused over three years between the ages of six and nine by Steele inside his mother’s Coatesville home, authorities said. Jury Finds Coatesville Dad Guilty Of Using Son As Shield Against Police, DA Says
A jury found a Coatesville father guilty of using his son as a shield against police in a domestic violence incident, authorities said. Kenneth Cole, 43, was found guilty of endangering the welfare of a child and resisting arrest, according to the Chester County District Attorney's Office. As officers arrived at a home on Rosemont Avenue on May 23, 2019, they spotted Cole going into the house.
