Firearm, Drugs Recovered In Bensalem Traffic Stop: Police
A routine traffic stop led to two arrests in Bensalem, township police said in a release.
Officers stopped a Chevrolet Tahoe for a faulty brake light, a broken mirror, and a suspended registration on Saturday, April 13, authorities said.
Police said the driver, 33-year-old Brittany Dougherty of Philadelphia, was found to have a warrant for theft at a Bensalem Kohl's, a warrant for burglary in Camden, New Jersey, and a warrant for robbery out of Evesham, New Jersey.

Three Pennsylvania residents were hurt, one seriously, in a crash on Route 78 in New Jersey, authorities said.
A 58-year-old Nazareth, PA man was parked on the right shoulder of the highway around 4:50 a.m. near milepost 39.2 in Warren Township Sunday, Feb. 18, when his vehicle was struck by a Chevrolet SUV, New Jersey State Police Detective I Jeffrey Lebron said.
The Subaru driver was seriously injured while the Chevrolet driver, a 32-year-old Easton man, and passenger, a 31-year-old Easton man, were moderately hurt.

Charges have been field against the mayor of a suburban Philadelphia town in connection with a hit-and-run crash in April, authorities announced.
Brud Charles Anderson, the 50-year-old mayor of Morrisville, was apparently behind the wheel of a Ford Sport-Trac heading north on North Delmorr Avenue, when he turned left in front of the Chevrolet Equinox, around 3 p.m. on April 13, in Morrisville, the Bucks County District Attorney Matthew D. Weintraub said.
Both vehicles stopped, but the Ford suddenly reversed and sped away, heading west on East Trenton Avenue, the DA's office said.

Attempted Murderer Still At Large 4 Years Later: Troopers
A man accused of attempted murder nearly four years ago is still on the loose, say Pennsylvania State Police.
Troopers believe Samuel Irizarry, 20, was the gunman in a shooting on I-78 in Philadelphia on Feb. 20, 2019, they said in a release. At the time, investigators say Irizarry was riding in a dark-colored Chevrolet sedan.
In addition to attempted homicide, Irizarry is charged with aggravated assault, conspiracy, unlicensed firearm carry, and related counts, police said.

A 17-year-old boy was killed in a three-vehicle airborne crash in Williamstown on Thursday, January 12, 2023, Pennsylvania state police in Lykens announced that evening.
Kenneth Long, 74, of Williamstown, was taking a left turn in his 2012 Chevrolet Silverado onto Railroad Street when the unnamed Tower City teen driving a 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt entered the intersection and struck Long in the "11 o'clock position," in the southbound lane of State Route 209 just after 7:30 a.m., according to the release.

One person died and two people including a teen girl were wounded in a home invasion shooting Sunday, Dec. 11 in Philadelphia, authorities said.
Two black males kicked in the front door of a home on the 1800 block of Diamond Street around 12:45 p.m., city police said.
The men shot a 15-year-old girl four times in the right leg, a 20-something-year-old man in the back of the head, and a 20-something-year-old man in the chest, shoulder, and leg, police said.
The teen girl was placed in stable condition, the second victim died and the third was placed in critical condition.

A Lehigh Valley driver was killed in a crash involving two pickup trucks, authorities said.
Sylvanus Schmick, 59, and a passenger, Jeremy Schmick, were heading westbound on Route 248 in a blue Chevrolet Silverado when the vehicle crossed the double yellow line into oncoming traffic at the intersection of Sycamore Drive in Lehigh Township just before 4:05 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 25, the department said in a press release.
