Homeowner Set Fire To Berwyn Residence, DA Says
The two-alarm fire at a Berwyn home last week was set intentionally by the owner, prosecutors believe.
Kathryn Frankel, 41, is charged with arson, criminal mischief, and related counts, said the Chester County District Attorney's Office on Wednesday, July 31.
The fire was "well-advanced" by the time authorities arrived at the 400 block of Leopard Road around 11 a.m. on July 23, Berwyn Fire Company said previously.
Frankel was the only person home at the time of the blaze, and was seen "wandering around the property" before authorities arrived, the DA's Office said. …
Berwyn House Fire Sends One To Hospital: Officials
A house in Berwyn caught fire on Tuesday morning, July 23, sending one person to Paoli Hospital, according to first responders.
The fire was "well-advanced" by the time authorities arrived at the 400 block of Leopard Road around 11 a.m., Berwyn Fire Company said in a release.
Because the interior of the home was still badly damaged from a blaze on May 1, firefighters made the decision not to go inside, officials said.

Conspiracy Theorist Who Set Himself On Fire Outside Trump Trial Has NJ, PA Ties
Maxwell Azzarello, a conspiracy theorist who set himself ablaze outside of a Manhattan courthouse where former President Donald Trump's hush money trial was under way, appears to have ties to New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Another suspect has been captured for his role in aiding two Philadelphia inmates in their escape from prison.
Michael Abrams, 21, was captured by members of the US Marshals Service on Monday afternoon, May 15 at the Fairfield Inn in Berwyn, authorities announced.
Abrams has been charged with criminal conspiracy, hindering apprehension, escape, and use of a communication facility.

A convenience store in Chester County sold a Pennsylvania lottery ticket that won $2.6 million, state lotto officials have announced.
The Match 6 Lotto ticket matched all six numbers pulled in the Tuesday, Nov. 8 drawing, officials said.
The vendor, Mr. Bottle Beverage at 521 East Lancaster Avenue in Berwyn, will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the lucky ticket, lotto officials added.

PA Woman Killed In 3-Vehicle South Jersey Crash: Report
A Pennsylvania woman was killed in a three-vehicle crash in Gloucester County, NJ Advance Media reports.
Constance Boylan, 78, of Berwyn, Pennsylvania, was killed in the head-on crash on Route 322 around 3:45 p.m. Monday, June 6, the outlet said citing Woolwich police.
She was struck by a Jeep driven by a 22-year-old Newtown Square, PA, who was heading east but veered into Boylan's car, and another, authorities said.
Boylan was pronounced dead at the scene. The other two drivers were treated at area hospitals.

Niche.com has released its annual rankings of the best places to live in America and several Pennsylvania towns made the list.
The website ranked thousands of towns across the US based on data from the US Census, FBI, BLS, CDC, and resident ratings, it said.

Schools in Chester, Montgomery, and Delaware counties were named among the top 10 best high schools in Pennsylvania, according to U.S News & World Report.
