A man kicked out of a Northampton County business later threatened to kill the police who showed up at the scene, authorities allege. Slate Belt regional officers were called to the American Legion post in Wind Gap Borough at about 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 19 for a reported "disturbance," the department wrote in a statement. A 61-year-old man threatened to kill police officers after being kicked out of an American Legion in Wind Gap, authorities said. Gregory L. Lutz first threatened patrons after getting the boot from the establishment around 7:35 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 19, Slate Belt police said. Lutz then threaten to kill the intervening officer, and continued using lewd language in the parking lot — threatening to "commit the crime of homicide of an officer," according to authorities. DUI Driver Missing Tire Led 100+ MPH Police Pursuit In Central PA: Authorities
A 31-year-old driver had been drinking when he led police on a 100 mph pursuit, but was tracked down by police who followed the scrape marks from the rim of his car that had lost a tire, they said. A man later identified as Kenneth Pohlit was spotted stumbling around near Grandview Drive and Golf Course Road around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, Carroll Township police said.
