The National Weather Service says parts of New Jersey and Pennsylvania could see more snow than what was initially predicted due to a shift in the storm track. In an updating briefing published Monday, Feb. 12, the NWS said 12 to 18 inches of snow could fall in parts of Sussex County, NJ and the Pocono Mountains. PA Man Wanted For Rape, Incest May Be In Lehigh Valley: Police
Authorities are looking for 38-year-old Benicio Antoin Benifield. Benifield is wanted in Palmer Township on charges of felony rape, sexual assault of a victim under 13, incest, and multiple related counts, according to the Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers. Court records claim the crimes took place in November 2018. Investigators believe he may be in or around Macungie or Allentown. Undercover Bust: 5 People Seeking Sex With Teens Met By Detectives In Berks County, DA Says
Five people seeking sex with teens have been arrested in an undercover Berks County sting, authorities said. All five individuals responded to an ad, posted on Monday, Jan. 19 by detectives, offering sex with 14- and 15-year-old juveniles at various locations in Berks County, the county district attorney's office announced. The individuals agreed to meet up and have sex with the "teens," but instead were met by detectives and promptly arrested, District Attorney John T. Adams said. PA Native Amanda Seyfried Goes On Police Ride Along In Philly's Kensington Neighborhood
Amanda Seyfried stopped by the Philadelphia Police Department's 26th District this week. The "Mean Girls" actress joined author Liz Moore for a ridealong in Philly's Kensington section on Tuesday, Jan. 23, according to officers. Seyfried will play the lead role in a TV adaptation of Moore's book, "Long Bright River,” in which a Philly cop searches for her missing sister in Kensington, police said. Seyfried, 38, was born and raised in Allentown and graduated from William Allen High School in 2003, according to her online bio.

Snow Emergencies Declared Across PA Ahead Of Storm
Officials are advising residents across southeastern and central Pennsylvania to take caution ahead of the snowstorm predicted for Friday, Jan. 19, according to National Weather Service meteorologists. Chester, Delaware, Philadelphia, and parts of lower Bucks and Montgomery counties are under a winter storm warning as of 5 p.m. Thursday. Allentown Police Chaplain Angel Ramos Dies: Officials
Angel Ramos, an Allentown pastor and longtime police chaplain, has died, the department announced on Thursday, Jan. 18. Ramos had served as APD's chaplain for 27 years, said Chief Charles Roca in a statement. "Pastor Ramos served the city and its residents with distinction," the chief said. "Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family during this time." His Facebook profile says he studied at Colegio San José in Río Piedras, Puerto Rico, and that he served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Ramos is survived by his wife.

New Forecast: Increased Snowfall Totals Expected, Arctic Temps To Follow Northeast Storm
Newly-released forecast maps show parts of the region could see up to six inches of snow in the end-of-week storm. Gabriel Cartagena, the 44-year-old man wanted in connection with a double homicide last month in Allentown, has surrendered, police announced. Cartagena turned himself in on Thursday, Jan. 4, after warrants for his arrest on two counts of criminal homicide, attempted homicide, aggravated assault, and various weapons offenses were issued, Allentown Police Chief Charles Roca said.
