More than a year after nine people were hurt in a Kensington shooting, one man faces criminal charges, Philadelphia police announced. Michael Smith-Davis, 25, was arrested Thursday, Jan. 11 for attempted murder, criminal conspiracy, aggravated assault, and related counts, said city police in a release. A West Chester man is charged with aggravated assault and related counts after allegedly biting medics as they rendered aid, officials say. Gabriel Cartagena, the 44-year-old man wanted in connection with a double homicide last month in Allentown, has surrendered, police announced. Cartagena turned himself in on Thursday, Jan. 4, after warrants for his arrest on two counts of criminal homicide, attempted homicide, aggravated assault, and various weapons offenses were issued, Allentown Police Chief Charles Roca said. Police detectives in Philadelphia are looking for a woman accused of aggravated assault. Investigators said the pictured woman was involved in a stabbing outside the Studio 7 Lounge, 200 S. 60th Street. It happened on Saturday, Dec. 30 just before 1:30 a.m., according to authorities. A Pennsylvania State Police trooper was stabbed while serving a warrant for a New Jersey man in Berks County on Saturday, according to multiple releases by Trooper David Beohm.
