Shooting On Allentown Street Leads To 'Struggle' With Armed Suspect: Police One man faces criminal charges after police say he fired a gun on an Allentown street and then struggled with arresting officers over Memorial Day weekend.  It happened on Saturday, May 27 around 7:20 p.m., Allentown police wrote in a release. Officers were called to 8th and Linden streets after residents reported shots fired, the department said.  They arrived to find "evidence of shots being fired" and gathered a suspect description, authorities said.
