Dispute Between Tow-Truck Companies May Have Led To Philly Murder: Police
The early morning slaying of a 25-year-old in Philadelphia last month may have been the result of "a dispute between competing tow-truck companies responding to a car accident," city police believe. The male victim was shot dead around 1 a.m. on the corner of Chester Avenue and 52nd Street on Sept. 23, the department said. 4 Hurt When DUI SEPTA Worker Hits Trolley With Mercedes, Police Claim
A SEPTA employee is accused of driving under the influence after she allegedly crashed into a city trolley with her car while off-duty. Brianna Satchell-Thomas, 31, of West Philadelphia, is charged with aggravated assault while DUI and related counts, city police told Daily Voice. Authorities say the accident happened just before 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 6. Police said they arrived to find Satchell-Thomas' white Mercedes-Benz with "major damage" near the trolley. Philly Driver Charged In Crash That Killed 3, Cops Say
Police in Philadelphia are searching for the driver who they said caused a crash that killed three people over the summer. Officials say Myzeh Jesse-Ross, 20, was driving a Dodge Charger with seven passengers north on 52nd Street at around 3 a.m. on Aug. 14. Jesse-Ross ran a red light at the intersection with Walnut Street before striking a Hyundai Elantra carrying three passengers, police said.
