Allentown Motorcyclist, 53, Killed In Weekend Crash Remembered As 'Loyal Friend' A 53-year-old motorcyclist who died in an accidental crash in Allentown over the weekend was remembered as a "loyal friend." Carlos Batista was operating his motorcycle when he lost control and struck a curb in the parking lot of 2100 Mack Boulevard around noon on July 24, according to the Lehigh County Coroner's Office. Batista was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest where he was pronounced dead at 3:47 p.m., the coroner's office said.
