The crash involving a motorcycle happened in the westbound lanes at mile marker 49.9 on Thursday, Sept. 1, PA State Police Trooper Nathan Branosky said in a 1:42 p.m. tweet.
The left lane will remain open with intermittent closures, he said.
PA State Police are recommending motorists take westbound SR 22 to Route 309.
Heavy delays were expected in the area as troopers continue to investigate and clear the crash scene.
