Firefighters were on their way home late Thursday, April 13, when they spotted the wreck at the intersection of South 24th Street and Lehigh Parkway North, the Western Salisbury Fire Company said.
The driver was taken by EMS to a hospital for evaluation, officials said.
After crews confirmed that no power was coming through the lines, the fire was put out and the vehicle was towed away, the fire department said.
South 24th Street was expected to be closed for an undetermined period of time while the power lines were repaired.
