Ex-Allentown Cop Sentenced In $315K Firefighter Fund Theft: Report

A former Allentown police officer was sentenced to 22 months to 10 years in state prison, followed by five years probation, for embezzling thousands of dollars from a firefighter fund, LehighValleyLive reports.

Corey Cole Jr., 44, of Northampton, pleaded guilty to theft and access device fraud in May, records show.

He admitted to stealing $315,000 from the Fireman's Relief Fund Association of Lehigh Township while serving as treasurer between 2011 and 2018, the outlet reports.

Cole worked for the Allentown Police Department for 18 years before leaving in 2019 after becoming the center of an investigation, according to the outlet.
