Death Of 'Beacon Of Warmth' Chef On Inwood Roadway Sparks Flood Of Support Support is swelling for the family of a beloved father and chef who was struck and killed by a car on Long Island. The incident happened in Inwood, near the intersection of Sheridan Avenue and Nassau Avenue, shortly after 11 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28.
