What began as a small dairy store has grown into a family-owned chain known for its farm-fresh products, engaging in-store experience, and dedication to quality, according to Stew Leonard's website.
Brittney Tavello, Director of Training and a third-generation family member, shared her appreciation for the award.
"We love Long Island! There's nothing better than bringing our shoppers the sweetest local corn and fresh-caught fish straight from Montauk," she said. "We've learned that Long Islanders know their steaks – our butchers can barely keep those beautiful bone-in porterhouses in the case! And seeing families enjoy our chef-prepared meals makes all those early mornings in the kitchen worthwhile.

The 2024 Daily Voice Readers' Choice contest to name the Best of the Best on Long Island began with reader nominations in October and ended with a voting period for finalists in 80+ categories in December.
