1,000 Pounds Of Weed Found In Long Island Home After Burglary Call: Police
A burglary on Long Island led to the discovery of about 1,000 pounds of marijuana inside a house, police said.
Antonio M. Velay, 27, of Southampton, was arrested following the investigation, the Southampton Town Police Department said.
Cops found the weed on West Neck Road in Southampton on Thursday, Sept. 17 following a 911 call for a home invasion, authorities said.

Reckless Long Island Driver Drove Drunk: Police
A 27-year-old Oceanside, NY resident was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated on Route 46, authorities announced.
At 11:46 p.m., on Saturday, Sept. 12, officers observed a blue Hyundai traveling east on Route 46 failing to maintain its lane of travel, Mount Olive police said. Officers initiated a traffic stop and as they spoke with the driver, John Pichardo, he detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage and noted that he appeared to be impaired, police said.
