Long Island Expressway Fatal: 37-Year-Old ID'd As Victim In 3-Vehicle Crash A man was killed in a three-vehicle crash on the Long Island Expressway. The incident happened in the eastbound lanes near exit 68 in Manorville, at around 5:45 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18. Suffolk County Police said William Sarubbi, age 37, of Riverhead, was riding a Suzuki motorcycle when he collided with the back of a Ford pickup truck and was ejected from the bike. Another vehicle swerved to avoid hitting Sarubbi and hit the motorcycle. Sarubbi was transported via ambulance to Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead, where he was pronounced dead. Fatal Crash: 46-Year-Old ID'd As Victim In Holtsville One person was killed in a single-vehicle crash on a busy Long Island roadway. It happened around 6:20 p.m. Thursday, June 13 in Holtsville. Jared Rueb, age 46, was operating a 2005 Honda motorcycle southbound on North Ocean Avenue by Peconic Avenue, when he lost control and struck a curb, according to Suffolk County Police. He was rushed to Stony Brook University Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police have not yet released Rueb's place of residence.
