An NJ Transit train struck and killed a pedestrian in Bergen County overnight, officials said. The incident happened at approximately 1 a.m. when Port Jervis train 41, which had departed Hoboken at 12:39 a.m. and was scheduled to arrive in Port Jervis at 3:15 a.m., hit a woman just west of Rutherford Station at Paterson Avenue, according to NJ Transit spokesman John Chartier.
