A Greene County man is facing major felony charges after allegedly resisting arrest before authorities found more than 350 grams of cocaine in his car during a Thruway traffic stop in Ulster County, police said.
Catskill resident Sherod Wiggins, 47, was arrested early Wednesday, April 15, after troopers stopped his vehicle on Interstate 87 in Plattekill for multiple traffic violations, New York State Police announced on Thursday, April 16.

The events leading to the arrest began around 5:36 p.m. on Wednesday, April 2, after troopers spotted a 2021 GMC violating vehicle and traffic laws while traveling on Clark Street in Newburgh, New York State Police announced on Thursday, April 3.

5 Nabbed On Gun Charges In Orange County Traffic Stop, Police Say
Five people were charged with allegedly having loaded weapons during a Hudson Valley traffic stop.
The incident occurred in Orange County around 3:40 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 25, in Wallkill.
According to Lt. Robert McLymore of the Wallkill Police, the department, along with the New York State Police, performed a vehicle stop at Exit 116 on Route 17, which led to the arrest of five of the five suspects.
A subsequent investigation resulted in the recovery of three loaded firearms, McLymore said.
