Car Goes Up In Flames At Middle School In Orange County Firefighters responded to a middle school in Orange County after a car caught fire in the parking lot.  The blaze happened on Tuesday, Jan. 6, at Port Jervis Middle School, according to the Port Jervis Fire Department. The blaze was put out, and fire crews have since returned to service, firefighters said.  Information about the cause of the blaze was not immediately available.

Woodland Fire Near Middle School In Greenwood Lake Extinguished (Update) Fire crews worked to contain a woodland fire that broke out Friday afternoon, March 28, near a middle school in Orange County, officials said. The Village of Greenwood Lake issued a community alert around 3:30 p.m. on Friday, warning residents of an active woodland fire in the area of Fitzgerald Falls on the Appalachian Trail, not far from Greenwood Lake Middle School.  Emergency responders raced to the scene to battle the blaze, officials said.
