Village In Hudson Valley Increases Patrols After Coyote Sightings, Mayor Urges Calm, Caution Following several recent coyote sightings in a Rockland County village, local police are stepping up neighborhood patrols. In a statement to residents, Suffern Mayor Mike Curley said the Suffern Police Department is aware of the sightings and is conducting extra patrols in affected areas.
