A Hudson Valley firefighter, US Army veteran, and young father is facing a long road to recovery after being struck by a wrong-way driver on the NJ Turnpike last weekend, loved ones say.
Guillermo Mollins, 39, of Poughkeepsie, was in a Honda sedan when he was struck by a Ford pickup truck driven by 44-year-old Bruce Canfield, of Pottstown, PA, who was traveling south in the northbound lanes of the Turnpike early Saturday, Jan. 3, NJSP Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said.

A 27-year-old firefighter from Long Island is being remembered for his generosity, service, and larger-than-life spirit after he was killed in an ATV crash upstate over Labor Day weekend.
Mason Kraese, of Huntington Station, died Saturday night, Aug. 30, when the ATV he was riding crashed into a tree in the town of Summit in Schoharie County, according to the sheriff’s office.
Kraese, a proud member of the Huntington Manor Fire Department and the Steamfitters Local Union #638, came from a family with a long tradition of fire service.

Nine people died in a late-night fire at an assisted living facility in Massachusetts, fire officials said.
The fire broke out around 9:50 p.m. Sunday, July 14, at the Gabriel House on Oliver Street in Fall River, according to Fall River Fire Chief Jeffrey Bacon, Police Chief Kelly Furtado, State Fire Marshal Jon Davine, and Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn III.

Shane Webb Munn, age 50, of Goshen, died on Saturday, May 31, after he rushed back into his burning home on Pulaski Highway in a desperate effort to rescue his two sons, Ryan, 17, and Travis, 12.

A father and his two young sons were killed in a devastating house fire Saturday night, May 31, in a Hudson Valley, NY town, authorities said.
Shane Munn, 40, and his two sons, ages 12 and 17, all died in the blaze at 876 Pulaski Highway in Goshen at approximately 8:10 p.m., according to New York State Police.
