NYC Firefighter Dies After Suffering Cardiac Arrest Battling Blaze The FDNY is mourning the loss of one of its own after a 42-year-old firefighter suffered cardiac arrest while battling a fire in Brooklyn over the weekend.  According to FDNY Fire Commissioner Robert S. Tucker, Firefighter Patrick Brady, who served with the department for 11 years, died in the line of duty on Saturday, Nov. 8. Brady was operating on the roof of a fire at 9407 Kings Hwy when he went into cardiac arrest, the FDNY said. The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office in Arizona reported receiving a call around 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, to assist with a technical recovery.  Search and Rescue teams located the man’s body approximately 130 feet down on a scree pile. Motorcyclist Airlifted After Serious Crash At Busy Hudson Valley Intersection A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash at a busy Rockland County intersection.  The collision happened Thursday night, Nov. 6, in Nanuet at the intersection of Route 59 and Smith Street, The Monsey Scoop reported.  Emergency crews from Nanuet EMS, Rockland Paramedics, and the Clarkstown Police Department responded to the scene. According to the outlet, the victim — who was conscious and alert at the scene — was airlifted by medevac to Westchester Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries.
