Electric Vehicle Catches Fire At Parking Garage In Hudson Valley (Photos) Firefighters battled a blaze at a Westchester County parking garage that sent smoke up into the air and drew a response from multiple departments.  The blaze happened on Tuesday, May 5 at the New Rochelle City Garage, according to fire buff Domenic Ramacciato.  Ramacciato said the three-alarm fire was caused by an electric vehicle inside the garage.  Crews from Yonkers, Eastchester, Greenville, Pelham, and Pelham Manor responded to the scene to fight the blaze.  Photos of the blaze and response were posted on Ramacciato's Instagram page @downtowndom_fire (cli…

Mufid Fawaz Alkhader, 29, of Schenectady, pleaded guilty in February to a federal hate crime for the Dec. 7, 2023, incident at Temple Israel, as Daily Voice previously reported. Social Services Clerk Extorted Daycare Providers For Cash In NY, DA Says A Westchester County Department of Social Services employee is facing charges for allegedly demanding cash bribes from daycare providers in exchange for processing reimbursement checks meant to support families in need, prosecutors announced.
