This story has been updated. Police have released the name of a 22-year-old man fatally shot while sitting in a car in Rockland County. In an update on Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 10, Haverstraw Police said Muhssia King, of Haverstraw, was killed around 8:45 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, while seated in the driver’s seat of a vehicle on Clove Avenue. Police in Dutchess County are investigating three separate shootings that occurred over Memorial Day weekend, causing damage to a home and occupied car. All three shootings happened in the City of Poughkeepsie on Sunday, May 25, and Monday, May 26, the city's police department announced on Tuesday, May 27. The incident happened around 5:38 p.m. on Tuesday, March 25, when City of Poughkeepsie 911 received a call reporting a stabbing in the 600 block of Main Street, the city's police department said.
