Woodland Fire Near Middle School In Greenwood Lake Extinguished (Update) Fire crews worked to contain a woodland fire that broke out Friday afternoon, March 28, near a middle school in Orange County, officials said. The Village of Greenwood Lake issued a community alert around 3:30 p.m. on Friday, warning residents of an active woodland fire in the area of Fitzgerald Falls on the Appalachian Trail, not far from Greenwood Lake Middle School.  Emergency responders raced to the scene to battle the blaze, officials said. Suspicious Man Approaches Boy In Hudson Valley, Police Looking For Info Police in the Hudson Valley are asking the public for information after a boy was approached by a man in a blue sedan while in his driveway. The incident occurred in Rockland County around 8:50 a.m., Friday, May 24, on South John Street in Pearl River. According to Lt. Michael Boysa of the Orangetown Police, a 10-year-old boy was in his driveway when a blue sedan pulled up in front of his home.
