A man is accused of breaking into Sullivan County Golf Club on back-to-back nights — and was caught after a foot chase across the course, police said.
Liberty resident Glenn Flickenschild, 52, was arrested on Saturday, July 4, following a reported burglary at Sullivan County Golf Club in Liberty, the Liberty Police Department announced on Friday, July 10.
According to the department, officers with the Village of Liberty Police Department responded to a mutual aid request for a reported burglary in progress at the golf club at around 10:40 p.m. on Saturday.

A 34-year-old man faces charges after allegedly sexually abusing a young child in Orange County, police said.
Town of Wallkill resident Alejandro Martinez, 34, was arrested on Thursday, July 2, following an investigation into the sexual abuse of a child, the Town of Wallkill Police Department announced on Thursday, July 9.
According to police, on April 8, officers responded to a Wallkill home after receiving a report of a 4-year-old child being sexually abused. A follow-up investigation identified Martinez as the suspect, the department said.

Girl, 7, Dies After Being Hit By School Bus In Hudson Valley, No Charges Pending (Update)
UPDATE: A child has died after being struck by a school bus in Rockland County, police confirm.
The crash happened at around 9 a.m. on Blauvelt Road in Monsey on Wednesday, July 8, according to Ramapo Police.
The girl had been crossing the street at 182 Blauvelt Rd. when she was struck by the school bus.
Emergency crews, including Hatzoloh EMS and the Ramapo Police Department, responded to the scene.
