Olympic Gold Medalist Pioneer, NYer Dick Button Remembered As Popular Sportscaster Dick Button, the first man to win two gold medals in figure skating at the Olympics, is being remembered as a popular sportscaster after his death at age 95. Button, a longtime New York resident, died at his Ice Pond Farm in Northern Westchester County's North Salem. He was a native of Englewood, New Jersey. Former Knicks Exec Chris Bernard Dies, 47 Chris Bernard, a Bergen County, NJ dad, former Adelphi University Hall of Fame basketball star and CEO who once worked in a VP role for the NY Knicks, has died. He was 47 years old. As of Wednesday, Jan. 8, more than $220,000 had been raised on a GoFundMe launched to support Chris' wife, Amanda, and their three children, Roman, Jude, and Chloe, of Englewood. The campaign was launched by Dan Gladstone, a senior VP at the National Basketball Players Association. Chris' death spread shock and sadness through the basketball community on a national level. Update: Fierce Fire Ravages $3M Tenafly Home 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘: A fierce fire blew through a $3 million Tenafly home Friday night. Everyone got out OK and no injuries were reported after the fire ignited on the first floor near the back of the Hudson Avenue home off County Road shortly before 8:30 p.m. June 14. It quickly went to three alarms and then, later, a fourth for coverage. Firefighters had the bulk of the blaze knocked down within a half hour, then remained until 11 p.m. or so dousing hot spots.
