Federal safety officials have escalated their investigation into more than 1.2 million Ford pickups after complaints about sudden transmission downshifts more than doubled, officials said. The probe into about 1,270,970 Ford F-150 trucks expanded on Friday, Jan. 30, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Motorcyclist Killed In Crash With Honda On I-84 In Hudson Valley, Police Say
A Massachusetts man was killed in a crash on Interstate 84 in New York Friday morning, June 27, New York State Police said. Troopers from the Middletown barracks responded to the westbound lanes near mile marker 24.1 in the town of Wallkill at approximately 8:35 a.m. for a report of a motor vehicle crash, NYSP said. Van Plunges Into Lake In Hudson Valley
Firefighters had to ensure no hazardous fluids entered a Hudson Valley lake after a van plunged into it. The crash happened in Putnam County on Tuesday, July 30, when a van drove into Lake Mahopac on South Lake Boulevard, according to the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department. After the incident, crews used hazardous material absorbent booms around the van to absorb any potential vehicle fluid leaks as it was removed from the water. The cause of the crash was not released.

33-Year-Old Driver Nabbed After Hudson Valley Police Pursuit Ends In Crash
A 33-year-old Hudson Valley man is behind bars after allegedly taking New York State Police on a pursuit, ending in a crash with damage to a police car.
