A beloved Long Island ice cream truck driver and his wife underwent back-to-back medical emergencies, and the community has rallied to support them.
Ice cream truck driver Sonny Taluy suffered a stroke Nov. 2, 2025, and his wife, Lynn Taluy, had a heart attack on Jan. 29, 2026, the Taluys' son-in-law, Christopher Mandrachio, told Daily Voice.

A 292-unit luxury residential community in on Long Island has sold for $190 million.
JLL Capital Markets secured the sale of The Arboretum, located at 20 Maple Ln. in Farmingville, according to a release from the company issued Monday, March 2.
The buyer was an affiliate of The Inland Real Estate Group of Companies, Inc., with Matthew Tice, senior vice president of Inland Real Estate Acquisitions, LLC, facilitating the purchase on behalf of the Inland affiliate. JLL represented the seller, BRP Companies, in the transaction, officials said.
