High-Speed Tesla Crash Kills Driver, 28, Changing Lanes On I-87: Nysp A tragic early morning crash on I-87 southbound in Clarkstown claimed the life of a 28-year-old New City man, New York State Police reported. Justin Drinks was speeding in a 2022 Tesla when he tried to change lanes around 1:20 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 13, near exit 12, NYSP Trooper Jennifer Alvarez said. At 2:02 p.m., a Chevrolet passenger vehicle, driven by Andrew Slagle, an Orange County resident from Westtown, was traveling northbound on Route 284 in Wantage Township when it veered off the roadway to the right, struck several trees and overturned, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said.  Slagle sustained fatal injuries, Lebron said. It happened around 6:50 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5 in Orange County on Route 302 near the intersection with State Route 17K in the town of Crawford. Stephen Montgomery, age 28, of Pine Bush was operating a 2016 Harley Davidson motorcycle southbound when the deer crossed his path, causing the collision. Fatal Crash: 38-Year-Old ID'd As Victim In Single-Vehicle Capital Region Wreck One person is dead following a single-vehicle crash in the region. The Greene County wreck happened at around 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, on State Route 23 in the town of Windham. New York State Police said 38-year-old Adam Kingsley, of Hunter, was driving a Toyota westbound on State Route 23 when he went off the roadway and struck a tree. Kingsley, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. No other vehicles were involved and there were no other reports of injuries. The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Man Airlifted To Westchester Medical Center Dies After Single-Car Crash A 44-year-old man who was airlifted to an area hospital following a single-vehicle crash has died. Christopher M. Baxter, of Staatsburg, died from his injuries once he arrived at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, according to Capt. John Watterson with the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office. Watterson said the crash occurred around 8 a.m. Monday on All Angels Hill Road in Wappinger. An investigation into the crash is underway, he added.
