VERPLANCK, N.Y. -- Lucy Rose Margiotta, a longtime Verplanck resident, died Dec.16. She was 85
Margiotta was born Dec. 13, 1930, in Manhattan, to her Frank and Veronica Sepi Lombardi. She married Victor Gerard "Jerry" Margiotta on May 2, 1953.
Margiotta, her husband and their children owned and operated the Paradise Restaurant in Verplanck. In 2008, Margiotta received the Italian-American Woman of Distinction from the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Society in Verplanck.

Sharon Schrader, 60, Resident Wappingers Falls
WAPPINGERS FALLS, N.Y.-- Sharon Schrader, 60, of Wappingers Falls, died Dec 14.
Schrader was employed at different convenience stores as a clerk.
Schrader is predeceased by her husband, Stephen Schrader.
Schrader is survived by her son, Kyle Schrader of Wappingers Falls, her sister, Marilyn Evans of Wallkill, Shannon Evans of Wallkill, her nephew, Keith Evans, her great niece, Judith and her great nephew, Jeremy.
Maria Giambattista, 86, Yonkers Resident
YONKERS, N.Y.-- Maria Giambattista of Yonkers died Monday, Dec. 14.
Giambattista was born Oct. 9, 1929 in Naples, Italy to Sabatino and Josephine Manzo.
Giambattista was predeceased by her husband, Corrado Giambattista.
Giambattista is survived her daughters Carmelina DeFeo, Josephine Giambattista and Rosemarie Grosso, and four grandchildren.
Sinatra Memorial Home, Inc., 601 Yonkers Ave., handled the arrangements.
Jane Saracelli, 94, Lifelong Resident Of Sleepy Hollow
SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y.--Jane Saracelli, 94, died Dec. 13.
Saracelli was born in North Tarrytown May 10, 1921. She graduated from North Tarrytown High School in 1939. She was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church and she was active with the Sleepy Hollow seniors group.
She married her husband Anthony Saracelli at St. Tereas's Church, and lived in North Tarrytown.
Her husband, Anthony, predeceased her June 4, 1998. In addition, she was predeceased by her brothers Joseph, Leonard, Michael, Bert, Anthony, Raymond and James Gagano, and her sister Rose Muske.
