Member of the Rockland County Technical Rescue Team quickly pulled the worker from the under-construction basement after a wooden wall that was supporting it collapsed on him around 1:30 p.m., county spokesman Scott Salotto said.
The victim was conscious and alert before he was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, Salotto said.
The Monsey Fire Department also responded to the incident, which was originally thought to be a trench collapse.
