ID Released For Woman Struck, Killed By Train In Westchester
Metro-North officials have identified the woman struck by a New Haven Line train in Westchester. Aurelia Franchitti, age 21, of Woodside, in Queens, was fatally struck after stepping in front of an eastbound train at Rye Station around 5:15 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 28, officials said. Earlier report: Person Killed After Stepping In Front Of Train In Rye The MTA Police are investigating the incident. Officials said at this early stage in the investigation, the incident does not appear criminal or accidental in nature.

IDs Released For Three Women Killed In Crash Involving Drunk Driver Near NY Event Venue
The identities have been released who three women who were killed after a crash involving a drunk driver in front of an event venue in New York, police said. At around 11:10 p.m. Saturday, May 21 on Long Island, a 2010 Lincoln Town Car with a driver and five occupants was struck in the eastbound lane of Jericho Turnpike in New Hyde Park by a 2012 Mercedes-Benz sedan occupied by only the driver, according to Nassau County Police. NYC Man Waiting 'Too Close To Tracks' Struck By Port Jervis-Bound Train
PORT JERVIS, N.Y. -- A 38-year-old man who apparently stood too close to the tracks was struck by a Port Jervis-bound express train at a New Jersey station and critically injured injured Friday night, authorities said. "Initial reports are that he was standing too close to the edge of the platform with his back to the tracks" when the victim was struck around 5:30 p.m. at the Kingsland Station in Lyndhurst, NJ Transit's Jim Smith said.
