23-Year-Old Killed After Deer Thrown Into Car On Route 9W
A 23-year-old was killed after a large truck in an oncoming lane struck a deer, which flew through the air and crashed through the windshield then out through the back window of the vehicle in the area, said police. The incident happened in Ulster County in the Town of Lloyd on Route 9W at approximately 1:20 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 28. Both the driver of the vehicle, 25-year-old Sean Boles of Washington Township in New Jersey, and now-deceased Toni Redner of Newburgh were transported to MidHudson Regional Hospital, police said. Morris County Motorcyclist, 39, Killed In Upper Bergen GSP Crash Involving Rockland Driver
A 39-year-old Morris County motorcyclist was killed in a Friday night crash on the Garden State Parkway in Washington Township, authorities said. Preliminary indications were that a southbound Honda sedan driven by a 43-year-old Nanuet man "entered the lane of travel" of a Yamaha motorcycle driven by Simon Kerns of Chatham near Exit 166 just after 6 p.m., NJ State Trooper Charles Marchan said. The Yamaha struck the left side of the Honda, ejecting Kerns, the trooper said. A witness told Daily Voice it appeared he'd been thrown nearly 30 feet. Kerns was later pronounced dead at The Valley …

Dalessio, 27, a Pace University graduate, initially posted the video to her own Instagram account -- but it didn't take long before it went viral. WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. -- Authorities summoned the bomb squad Monday night after a Washington Township homeowner received what was initially considered a suspicious package from Austin, TX. The package turned out to be an unexpected family photo with an Austin postmark, responders told Daily Voice. The homeowner became concerned because of a series of recent package explosions in the Texas city in which two people were killed and a 75-year-old woman seriously injured. It? Ridgewood Police Seek Hit-Run Driver Who Struck Officer
RIDGEWOOD, N.J. -- Ridgewood police released a photo Wednesday morning of a car that struck a village police officer and then sped off. The officer was struck on Van Emburgh Avenue during a traffic stop near Cathleen Terrace -- near the Washington Township border -- just after 10:30 a.m Monday, Police Chief Jacqueline Luthcke said. The officer sustained minor injuries, she said.
