Firefighter Injured During Hudson Valley House Fire
A firefighter received burns and suffered from smoke inhalation while battling an area house fire. The fire took place in Rockland County around 9 p.m., Monday, Nov. 1, at 460 Storms Road in Valley Cottage. According to Detective Norm Peters, of the Clarkstown Police Department, said responding officers observed a heavy smoke condition coming from the basement and confirmed with the homeowner that the house was unoccupied. A man driving erratically became entrapped after his vehicular overturned in a two-vehicle crash, police said. It happened at approximately 6:45 p.m. on Saturday, May 16 in Rockland County on Route 9W in the area of Barmore Hill in Valley Cottage, the Clarkstown Police Department said. Three people were hospitalized following a house fire in Nyack, police say. Orangetown Police say they responded to a report of smoke in the building of 166 Cedar Hill Avenue in the Village of Nyack on Sunday, April 7 around 3:30 p.m. Upon arrival, officers reportedly observed a large volume of fire in the building. Woman Receives Multiple Injuries After Being Trapped In Valley Cottage Crash
A Rockland woman received multiple injuries after being heavily trapped inside a vehicle following a one-vehicle crash. Clarkstown Police responded to the crash around 4 a.m. Sunday after receiving word that a tree had struck a tree on Route 9W in Valley Cottage, the Clarkstown Police said.
