The Hillburn Fire Department, with the assistance of several fire departments and New York State Park rangers, battled the blaze that consumed acres. Head-On Crash Kills Hudson Valley Man A man was killed in a two-vehicle head-on collision on a busy Hudson Valley roadway. The crash, which took place in Orange County on Route 17 in the town of Tuxedo, happened around 4 a.m., Wednesday, July 28, between a 2017 International box truck and a 2015 Nissan Sentra, said Trooper Steven Nevel. Woman, 18, Injured In Accident At Swimming Hole On Ramapo River An 18-year-old woman was saved from a remote "swimming hole," during a dramatic rescue by Town of Tuxedo police with the help of others. The rescue took place around 5:30 p.m., Saturday, July 13, when Tuxedo police received a call that the woman had fallen 35-feet headfirst onto rocks below at a swimming hole known as the "bubbles," on the Ramapo River, said Tuxedo  Police Lt. Multiple Injuries In I-87 Crash As All Three Vehicles Involved Roll Down Embankment Three people were injured during a multiple-vehicle crash on Interstate 87 in which all three vehicles involved went down an embankment. State police said the crash in Orange County took place around 8 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10 near Exit 15A southbound in Tuxedo. The crash occurred after three cars collided, and all rolled down an embankment.  At least one person was pinned in a vehicle and extricated by the Tuxedo Fire Department.
