Crash Causes Hours-Long Road Closure In Rockland County A serious traffic crash in the Hudson Valley is causing an hours-long road closure. The crash occurred in Rockland County early on Friday, Sept. 13, on Route 45 in Ramapo. According to the Ramapo Police, Orange & Rockland Utilities will close Route 45 at Rensselaer and New Hempstead for the next 8 to 12 hours while working on repairs.  The department is asking drivers to plan an alternative route. There is no word from the police on the status of any injuries.  This is a developing story. Check back to Daily Voice for updates.

One Killed In Chain-Reaction Route 22 Crash A 51-year-old man was killed and three others hospitalized in the Hudson Valley following a chain-reaction crash, according to authorities. New York State Police troopers in Dutchess County launched an investigation into a fatal crash that was reported at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 30 on State Route 22 in Dover. Man Charged With DWI After Allegedly Leaving Scene Of Crash In Area A 61-year-old man was arrested for alleged DWI after leaving the scene of a traffic crash, according to authorities. Ulster County resident Arthur W. Caston, of East Kingston, was arrested on Wednesday, Dec. 11, after the Ulster County Sheriff's Office, responded to a two-vehicle crash on Frank Sottile Boulevard, said Lt. Abram Markiewicz.
