Man Killed After Being Hit By Several Vehicles On I-87 A man was killed after being hit by several vehicles on I-87. The accident happened around 1:20 a.m., Sunday, March 8, in Orange County in the northbound lanes just before Exit 17 in Newburgh, said New York State Police.  Police are attempting to determine why the man was walking on the highway.  Additional information was not immediately available. Three-Car Crash Injures Four After Driver Allegedly Runs Stop Sign In Area Four people were injured in a three-vehicle crash after the driver of one of the vehicles allegedly ran a stop sign. The crash took place around 4 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 25 in Rockland County at Wilder Road and Lime Kiln Road, in Wesley Hills, said the Ramapo Police. Ramapo police said that the driver of one of the vehicles failed to stop at the stop sign on Lime Kiln Road and struck two vehicles on Wilder Road. Four people were transported to a local hospital with what appear to be non-life threatening injuries, police said. That driver was issued several summonses.

Police said that the woman, from Hartsdale, died on Saturday, Feb. 22 after her husband crashed into a tree in Ardsley.  Both were transported to the Westchester Medical Center following the crash, and the woman died from injuries sustained in the crash. It happened around 7:45 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 20, in Sullivan County eastbound in Mamakating between the bus and a pickup truck, state police said. The injuries were reported as being minor. Route 17 was closed eastbound between Exits 112 and 113 in Mamakating for about two hours. The lanes reopened just before 10 a.m.

Single-Vehicle Crash Closes Major Rockland Roadway A major roadway in Rockland County is closed due to a traffic crash that also knocked down power lines. The crash took place just before 9 a.m., Friday, Feb. 14, on South Little Tor Road in Clarkstown, said Clarkstown Police Officer Norman Peters. According to Peters, a car struck a utility pole and wires are down across the roadway.  South Little Tor Rd. is closed between Deerwood Drive and New Valley Road, he said. ID Released For Victim Of Fatal Route 17A Crash The person killed in a single-vehicle crash in Orange County has been identified. Tom Walter, 28, of Warwick, was killed around 9 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 5, on Route 17A near Durland Road, in Goshen, said Orange County Sheriff's Capt. Paul Arteta. According to Arteta, Walter, who was the lone occupant, collided with a tree in a county-owned vehicle.  He was rushed to Orange Regional Center where he was pronounced dead, he added.
