Man Killed After Being Hit By Several Vehicles On I-87 A man was killed after being hit by several vehicles on I-87. The accident happened around 1:20 a.m., Sunday, March 8, in Orange County in the northbound lanes just before Exit 17 in Newburgh, said New York State Police.  Police are attempting to determine why the man was walking on the highway.  Additional information was not immediately available. The crash took place around 4 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 25 in Rockland County at Wilder Road and Lime Kiln Road, in Wesley Hills, said the Ramapo Police. Ramapo police said that the driver of one of the vehicles failed to stop at the stop sign on Lime Kiln Road and struck two vehicles on Wilder Road. Four people were transported to a local hospital with what appear to be non-life threatening injuries, police said. That driver was issued several summonses.

Tom Walter, 28, of Warwick, was killed around 9 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 5, on Route 17A near Durland Road, in Goshen, said Orange County Sheriff's Capt. Paul Arteta. According to Arteta, Walter, who was the lone occupant, collided with a tree in a county-owned vehicle.  He was rushed to Orange Regional Center where he was pronounced dead, he added.
