A Westchester man faces felony charges after crashing into a man while he was walking in a crosswalk on a New York roadway, leaving them critically injured, police announced. White Plains resident Joseph Jensen, age 54, was arrested on Thursday, Dec. 28 in connection with an incident in the Ulster County village of Ellenville, Ellenville Police said. Sexual Comments To Child: Man From Hudson Valley Charged
A man from the region has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child after allegedly making inappropriate sexual comments. Ulster County resident Daryl C. Scheringer, age 73, of Wawarsing, was charged on Saturday, June 17 in the town of Napanoch. Scheringer was arrested after New York State Police responded to a home on Nappy Lane for a report of a verbal dispute, said Trooper Steven Nevel. Area Sex Offender Who Failed To Register Found With Two Kids, Police Say
A sex offender who failed to notify area authorities of his change of address was arrested in the company of two kids. The unidentified 31-year-old Ulster County resident, from Ellenville, was apprehended around 2 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 11 on an active warrant by members of the Ulster County Sheriff's Office. An investigation revealed the man was in the company of two minors and he failed to make notification of his address change as required by New York State law.
