Fire Breaks Out At Home Under Construction In Area
A fire damaged a home under construction in the area. The fire started around 11:19 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 16 in Rockland County at 48 Briarcliff Drive in Monsey. According to the Monsey Fire Department, when firefighters arrived on the scene they found a working fire in the basement of the home. Crews were able to make a quick initial push and had the fire extinguished shortly, keeping the fire contained to the room of origin, the department said. No one was injured in the fire. Rockland House Fire Under Investigation
First responders in Rockland County dealt with a difficult house fire that broke out in the ceiling of the home. Fire crews in Ramapo from the Hillcrest, Tallman Volunteer, and Monsey Fire Departments responded to a home on Ridgeway Terrace in the Village of Wesley Hills on the morning of Tuesday, Dec. 1, where there was a report of a smoke condition inside the residence. Officials said that upon arrival, they found smoke coming from the roof of the home before gaining entry to the roof and confirming that a fire had broken out inside. Photos: Vehicle Overturns After Crashing Into House In Rockland
A speeding driver lost control of his Jeep, rolled over, and crashed into a Rockland County home. First responders were dispatched to Spook Rock Road in Montebello at approximately noon on Wednesday, Aug. 12, after a car came to a crashing halt into an area home. Police said that the driver, who was the only person in the car, did not sustain any injuries, though the house suffered damage as a result of the crash. Crews from the Tallman Volunteer Fire Department, Rockland Paramedic Services, and Ramapo Valley Ambulance Corps also responded to the scene to assist police following the crash.

Woman Rescued After Rollover Rockland Crash
A trapped driver was rescued by first responders after a rollover crash in the Rockland The incident took place in the village of Montebello around 4:40 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 27, on River Road, said the Ramapo Police. Arriving officers found the vehicle had rolled onto its side and a woman was trapped inside of the vehicle. The woman was removed from the vehicle and was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital with minor injuries, police said. Car Overturns After Crashing Into Retaining Wall In Airmont
A motorist was hospitalized after a car crashed into a retaining wall before landing on its hood in Airmont. First responders in Ramapo were dispatched to Cragmere Road at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Friday, July 5, where there was a report of a one-car crash involving a mid-sized Subaru. Police said that the investigation into the crash determined that the driver struck a retaining wall on the street, causing the vehicle to overturn, landing on the roof. A driver suffered minor injuries during a single-vehicle crash in the village of Montebello that snapped a utility pole. The crash took place around 7:30 p.m., Sunday, June 9, on Haverstraw Road, said the Ramapo Police Department.
