Man Attacked By Three Men With Box Cutters In Hudson Valley, Police Say
Police are asking for help identifying three men who allegedly attacked and robbed another man in the Hudson Valley. The incident took place around 940 p.m., on Friday, March 12 on Cooper Drive in South Nyack, said South Nyack Police Chief Daniel Wilson. According to the chief, a man was standing next to his vehicle when he was approached by three Black men. Two of the men pulled out box cutters forcibly removed the victim's wallet and forced him to the ground. One of the men entered the victim's vehicle seeking additional proceeds, police said. Police Investigate Suspicious Package In Parking Lot Of Area Walgreens
A suspicious package reported in the parking lot of a Walgreens in the area was determined to be not a threat, police said. At approximately 3 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 17, Orangetown Police responded to a report of a suspicious package in the parking lot of Walgreens on Route 59 in the Village of Nyack. After a brief investigation, the package was deemed to not be a threat and the area was opened to vehicle and pedestrian traffic. Graffiti Vandal, 29, Caught On Video By Neighbor Nabbed By South Nyack-Grand View PD
A 29-year-old man who was caught on videotape by a neighbor painting graffiti has been arrested. Daniel Cohan of South Nyack was arrested Friday following a police investigation by the South Nyack-Grand View Police Department, said Chief Daniel Smith. According to Smith, Cohan was caught defacing a stop sign on Wednesday and a neighbor videotaped him in the act. When Smith realized he was caught, he then began trying to wipe off the graffiti before leaving in his car.
