A Hudson Valley man faces 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to first-degree rape of a child under the age of 13. Orange County resident Jesus Torres, age 32, of Goshen, pleaded guilty on Monday, June 5 to the charges under a plea deal, said Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler. Once released, Torres will be under 10 years of post-release supervision and required to register as a sex offender, the DA's Office said. Hudson Valley Man Indicted After Undercover Investigation Into Child Predators
A 32-year-old Hudson Valley resident is facing multiple charges after authorities said he sent sexually-explicit photographs and messages to an undercover officer who was posing as a child. Thomas Szeliga, of the hamlet of Orangeburg in Rockland County, was indicted on one count of second-degree attempted criminal sexual act and one count of first-degree attempted disseminating indecent material to minors, according to authorities. Man Accused Of Committing Sexual Crimes Against A Child In Area, Police Say
A 47-year-old man has been arrested for sexual crimes against a child. Orange County resident Chad Volpe, of Otisville, was arrested on Wednesday, Dec. 6, by New York State Police following an investigation of sexual conduct with a child, said Trooper Steven Nevel. According to Nevel, Volpe has been charged with felony crimes of: Course of sexual conduct against a child Criminal sexual act Sexual abuse Volpe was arraigned by City of Newburgh Judge Peter Culkin and remanded to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail.

Northern Westchester Man Indicted For Allegedly Fathering Child Of 12-Year-Old Girl
A 45-year-old man in Westchester has been indicted for allegedly having sexual intercourse with a minor over the course of two years and impregnating her. Croton-on-Hudson resident Pablo Dure was indicted on Tuesday, Aug. 18, and arraigned on one count of course of sexual conduct against a child, a violent felony, Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino, Jr. announced.
