Fatal Crash: 36-Year-Old ID'd As Victim On Palisades Parkway In Pomona A motorist from Massachusetts was killed after his vehicle overturned on a Hudson Valley roadway. It happened just after 11 p.m. Saturday, Oct.19 in Rockland County on the Palisades Interstate Parkway (PIP) southbound, in the town of Ramapo. A preliminary investigation revealed that a 2006 Saab was traveling south in the village of Pomona when, for reasons yet to be determined, the vehicle exited the roadway,, New York State Police, said.  The car struck multiple trees and overturned, ejecting the driver from the vehicle.  The operator of the vehicle, Worcester County …

Copper Pipe Thieves Caught In Action At Stony Point Building, Police Say Two Hudson Valley men were nabbed while allegedly stealing copper wire and pipes in the basement of a building. The incident occurred in Rockland County around 2:45 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14, at a building on Patriot Hills Drive in Stony Point. According to Lt. Daniel Schoales of the Stony Point Police, officers responding to the building on a suspicious person call could power tools being used inside. 53-Year-Old Woman Killed In 2-Car Crash In Rockland County A 53-year-old Hudson Valley woman was killed in a two-car crash. The incident occurred in Rockland County at 9:30 a.m., Monday, Oct. 14, at the intersection of New Hempstead Road and Summit Park Road in Ramapo. According to Sgt. Shawn Bakker of the Ramapo Police, responding officers found a 2000 Ford Taurus and a 2007 Honda Accord had crashed.
