Five Charged After Being Caught In Stolen Vehicle In Rockland, Police Say
Three juveniles were among five who were busted in a vehicle that had been reported stolen in Rockland County. A Ramapo Police officer on patrol at approximately 8:20 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28 in New Hempstead located a vehicle that had been reported stolen in Spring Valley earlier that day. Inside the car were four females and one male, three of whom were minors, police said. All five were arrested and charged with third-degree criminal possession of stolen property. A Rockland County teenager is facing multiple charges after going for a joyride in a vehicle that had been reported stolen, police said. A Ramapo Police officer on patrol at approximately 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, was alerted to a vehicle that passed him in the opposite direction that had been reported stolen in Spring Valley the day before. The officer pulled the vehicle over, and the subsequent traffic stop found that the driver was a 14-year-old minor. New update: Clarkstown Police have identified the 35-year-old woman charged after an incident at the Palisades Center Mall. The woman, Sharean McDonald, was charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor stemming from the incident that occurred around 4:30 p.m. Saturday, April 13. She will appear at Clarkstown Justice Court at a later date. Teen Nabbed In Nyack Graffiti Bust
A teenager attempted to avoid police after being caught by investigators looking into a graffiti incident in Nyack. Officers on patrol from the Orangetown Police Department were notified by a passerby at approximately 5:45 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 30, of a person making graffiti on New Street. Patrols responded to the scene of the reported graffiti, where they found a 15-year-old who attempted to flee from the officers, but was quickly caught and taken into police custody.
